A recent project that our company was invited to carry-out was the unloading ex vessel in Thessaloniki port on special trucks, the clearance in port and the inland transportation to the Hellenic Petroleum Refinery of about 20 parts consisting a turbine and condenser for the new project for conversion of the operation of refinery to natural gas.
The weight of each part went up to 80 tons but the main challenge was the big size of some parts.
In particular the height of two "shells" was 5.8 meters, so the inland transportation was done during Sunday with the contribution of technicians from the public power corporation who undertook the disconnection of electric cables where it was necessary.
The above job also, made to full satisfaction of our customers on very low price by providing a sufficient number of special trucks and succeeding a direct delivery from the vessel on to trucks.
