A new job that has been entrusted to our company by one of the biggest worldwide transport & logistic companies, MESSRS FAGIOLI SPA-MILANO, was the dispatch of U.N. Mission from the cities Mitrovica & Pristina in Kosovo to Aqaba Jordan through the port of Thessaloniki.
51 special U.N. vehicles plus a sufficient number of containers composed of the cargo, including dangerous explosives, chemicals etc.
Our company carried out the haulage of special U.N. Apache vehicles on low-bed trucks, and the containers with explosives, by our drivers with special licenses for such dangerous commodity.
Furthermore, we undertook all formalities through several borders up to Thessaloniki, as well as those in port for loading in Ro-Ro vessel to Aqaba.
Everything was done smoothly, and loading of the vessel was effected in a few hours on the cheapest way that was precisely pre-calculated and offered to our principals.
It is remarkable that due to the restrictions of direct loading of the dangerous goods, we succeeded to synchronize the dispatch of the explosives while the vessel was in port, directly from Kosovo on the vessel, although a lot of formalities, police licenses and other procedures had to be prepared in very limited time.
All operation was done with combination of Ro-Ro (vehicles) and Lo-Lo (containers) system and under the supervision of the employees of our branch office in Thessaloniki and our head operation manager.
