The constructors of Plants for refining industries Techip KTI SpA, Roma, assigned to us through the shipping Co. Master Shipping Services S.r.l. Genova the dispatch of two heavy and over-sized columns with final destination the Hellenic Petroleum Refinery in Aspropyrgos, Attica.
Each column has dimensions 18x4x4 meters and weight 105 tons and arrived at the port of Eleusis, that is the nearest to Aspropyrgos, with a gearless vessel.
Consequently, we used a suitable mobile crane of lifting capacity 300 tons able to lift the columns at the distance of about 6-8 meters from ship's side.
The inland transportation was carried out by two special trawlers type "Gold Hofer" with beneficial weight of 135 tons each.
Our company undertook the port's clearance too, the issue of all port and road licenses, the escort by the traffic police and private cars and all relevant procedures for the full success of the mission.
The job was crowned with success and we took congratulations by the Receivers and shippers who assured us that they will use our Company for all their future works in Greece.
